Yielding

Yielding is an ongoing experimental project undertaken with fellow architect Frans Herklint which explores the cultural and physical relationships that coalesce around building with natural materials arising from site (primarily earth and straw). The project primarily takes place at an old farmstead in the rural community of Sjövik, Västra Götaland. Guided throgh local histories and the cultural roots, Yielding aims to develop a personal intimacy with the landscape, it’s organic material, it’s inhabitants (non-human and human), and ultimately discover a more gentle architecture.
